About Me

Now retired and recently back into caravanning after a twenty odd year break.
We bought  a new two berth Sterling Elite this year and have been out in it six times including two weeks in France. We like to go to places where there is relatively easy cycling and good scenery, ie canal or riverside cycle paths.

About Me
Thank you for joining me in - Ian and I bought a caravan in March this year and took a few trips in May/June to get the hang of her (Katie!) before the real season started here in Brittany where we live. When we first moved to France 10 years ago we brought a small well-loved caravan with us which we lived in for a while we got the house sorted out, but Katie is brand-new and we are hoping to take her to Spain in December for a couple of months. We have joined another group on Facebook, but it seems to be mainly used by Mortorhomers and we feel a bit left out and many of the posts are not much use to us(campers using Aires etc) Just got back today from a week away - weather finally got to us and as yesterday was dry, we took down the awning an made the short trip home this morning - just as well - weather now tipping down with a vengeance and windy too. Hope to get one more trip in to make sure we finally have all we need and just a bit more experience getting the awning up. I may post some photos of our first attempt (here at home thank-fully) Looking forward to some helful article and tips about caravanning and long-distance trips. Sorry - can't see the Upload button?

About Me

Hi

We've recently changed from a caravan to a motorhome and, being retired, we're now able to spend quite long periods travelling. We enjoy touring round Europe and are currently (May 2017) on a seven week trip to France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Germany (and maybe Slovenia).

We also like travelling round the UK and, having recently moved from Wales to Somerset, are exploring the southwest, bit by bit.

We're enjoying the ease of driving and the swift set-up of the motorhome and changing our way of camping to visit more places via footwork and public transport.

About Me

10/10/16. I'm recently retired and am starting to make the transition from 2 to 3 week trips during holidays from work to 3 to 6 month trips.  Spent 3 months in Spain and Portugal in the Spring and enjoyed every minute. I am planning a 6 monther around Spain and France in the new year.  Will I come back?

About Me

We decided we would quite like a "Scoobydo" van to tour italy in as we saw people pull up on the side of lake Como, no hassle and bed down for the night.

WELL after looking at the size of a VW van (how did they get all those kids in there), do you think Scoobydo wasn't real ?!!!!!. We looked at larger camper vans (too expensive) and eventually settled for, as my BH calls it "a wobble box"!!!!

We can't stop laughing as it wasn't what we set out to have but we hope that us and two dogs will enjoy the experience
