About Me
We have been caravanning in this country for a long time - as a child and now as parents of 3 grown up children. Now the children do their own thing for holidays we are venturing further afield. We spent a week in Germany and a week in Holland last year. Our first time touring abroad. We loved Holland so have decided to go back this year and see much more of the country. Next year we are planning to drive to Italy, and this is the reason we were interested in your website. We find it very useful to follow hints and tips from fellow caravanners who have found the pitfalls and can help us to avoid them. We are fortunate to live close to the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales so can get away to either location for short weekend breaks. My husbands job prevents us from going away every weekend but we look forward to retirement in a few years when we can just up and go. We love sitting outside our caravan with a beer, watching the world go by and chatting to whoever goes past. We love being in the open air with no chores and no worries and we love the freedom to tour, visit different places or visit nowhere! Whatever we feel like at the time.

About Me
Me and Val own a Timberland Endeavour Motorhome, we Have travelled the full length of the UK.... Lands End to John O' Groats, Shetland (& Yell & Unst), Orkney (& Hoy), Mull and all round the country. In 2010 I travelled to Nordkapp in Norway to see the midnight sun and acheived an ambition of crossing the Artic Circle. A 4'996 miles round trip in 3 weeks. The Van was a dream to drive and it was the first time i'd driven abroad (which was one of the reasons i wen't alone, that and Val don't like the cold!!). Holland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland & Norway were great!! (the Russian border was a bit scary though) that wetted my appitite for European touring. we just got back from 4 weeks in France (Feb-March 2011) we got down as far as Hondarribia in Spain And Visited Pamplona, it was ok but we wern't that impressed to be honest.... with the exception of Mont-Saint-Michel that was awsome, one of the best places i've seen. we are going to Holland, Germany & Austria (May-June 2011) so looking forward to this trip |
